What are some of your lifetime running goals?:Longer fastpacks, more stage races, try some 50 and 100 milers, and explore many more beautiful trails.
Do you have a claim to fame?:Among runners, no, but all the stuff that is normal to runners is weird to everyone else I know.
Do you have any vices?:Coffee
What makes you tick as a runner and in the real world?:Being true to myself. Discovering what I authentically enjoy and genuinely believe, and trying to live my life according to that.
What drives you to run?:At its most basic, I love being outside, getting a fix of nature and breathing in fresh air. I also love training towards goals and feeling fit.
What is your favorite movie?:'Big Fish', an amazing Tim Burton adventure.
Do you have any nicknames? Explain:Nothing that has really stuck.
What's the longest you've gone without sleep? Why?:I miss an occassional night, mostly for running-related reasons like crewing.
If you had to be named after one of the 50 states,
which would it be?:Alaska or Oregon
What did you have for lunch yesterday?:Avacado and tomato sandwich, apple, tea
If you could hook up a thought monitor to your head,
would you see pictures, hear words or would music be
playing?:Running replaces my usual mind chatter with serene pictures.
What really scares you about trail running?:Getting injured and being far from help.
If your life was made into a movie, what would it be called?:Once A Trail Runner...
Where would you live if it could be anywhere in the world?:My fantasy address: Cabin in Woods, Valley Lake, Middle of Nowhere
What's your worst encounter on the trail?:At Killarney Provincial Park when we got soaked by rain and were chilled to the bone for hours in our soggy camp.
